In January, Skate To Recover had a pre-screening at the historic La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas during the 2026 Atmosphere Film Festival. Supporters, friends, and community members gathered to see the documentary on the big screen for the first time, where they were celebrating not just a film, but a movement of hope, faith, and belonging for young people in Juba, South Sudan.

This moment was a reminder of the mission: supporting Tite and the growing skate community in South Sudan, and laying the foundation for the country’s first skate park. The journey continues with more screenings, stories, and ways to get involved through Let Known.

2025 UPDATE: South Sudan Skateboarding

Amidst the challenges of Juba, Titus Dominic is transforming youth culture through skateboarding with the South Sudan Skate Federation (SSSF) and the Skate to Recover program. By blending extreme sports with trauma healing and Christian ministry, SSSF provides a safe space for young people to build resilience, break social barriers, and find hope. Thanks to a $14,400 grant from Samaritan’s Purse South Sudan, the program is expanding in 2025.
